Galliford Try shortlisted for Digital Excellence and Best Project at CN Awards

Galliford Try has landed two nominations at the 2023 Construction News Awards, one of the industry’s leading celebration events, following the announcement of this year’s finalists.

Galliford Try Building North East and Yorkshire has been recognised for excellence across the Queen Elizabeth High and Hexham Middle School projects, in the category of Project of the Year (£20m-£50m). The scheme has previously won Project of the Year at the Education Estates Awards.

In addition to this, Galliford Try’s Environment team has been shortlisted for the Digital Construction Excellence Award for their ground-breaking work in developing a new predictive model Artificial Intelligence programme, nicknamed ‘Project Vinnie’. A multiple award winner, Project Vinnie has previously claimed a Constructing Excellence Award for innovation. The system, which, has been trained on more than 15 centuries of construction data, helps in the identification of potential future health and safety risks on site.
