Galliford Try’s Building business has been appointed to a major new framework by the Ministry of Justice (MoJ).

The Constructor Services Framework covers new build, refurbishment and maintenance across the MoJ’s estate in England, and is anticipated to be a significant new procurement route for the Ministry.

Galliford Try has been included on regional lots 4 of Framework A, which covers projects up to £5m, lots 6 and 8 of Framework B, spanning projects from £5m to £10m in value and a place on the nationwide Framework C for projects in excess of £10m.

The Custodial and Judicial sector remains a key focus of Galliford Try’s Sustainable Growth Strategy, with significant public sector frameworks such as this a major target for the business. The award follows the recent appointment to the £95m contract to expand HMP Rye Hill on behalf of G4S, Onley Prison Services and the MoJ.

Steve Ripp, Sector Director for Galliford Try, commented: “We are delighted to have been selected for this new framework by our partners at the MoJ. This appointment is both a recognition of the innovative work we have been carrying out in the sector and our commitment to collaborate effectively with the MoJ and all the stakeholders involved to deliver on their vision.”

Bill Hocking, Chief Executive of Galliford Try, said: “This major framework success further cements our position as a leading contractor in the custodial sector, one of the key markets for our Sustainable Growth Strategy. We look forward to working with the MoJ to provide it with the high-quality facilities required to manage the prison population in the future.”
