Date 13 Jan 2023

Galliford Try’s Environment business has appointed Stuart Wallace as its new Head of Pre-Construction.

Stuart was previously Head of Pre-Construction for Morrison Construction’s Environment team, with pre-construction responsibility for the Scottish Water ESD and DV2 frameworks. He will now be responsible for heading up the Pre-Construction function across the entire Environment business Unit.

He began his career over 25 years ago with Morrison Construction as an Estimator, before spending several years working in the United Arab Emirates, eventually returning to Morrison in 2014.

Stuart will work alongside the Regional Operational Directors to ensure the delivery of the current business targets and continue to develop the Environment business into new markets which further increases our profitability.

Mark Hanrahan, Business Development Director, Environment, commented: "I am delighted to welcome Stuart into his new role within our Environment Business Unit and with his extensive pre-construction knowledge and leadership skills, he will strengthen our business in providing a profitable ‘Source to Sea’ approach.”

“Stuart is taking up this new role at a key time in the water sector calendar, with the start of the AMP8 prequalification processes, and he will provide key support to the front end of the business in delivering our key profitable growth objectives.”
